Rameshwar Stresses on True Value of Education

A new higher secondary institution, Excellent Academy, was formally inaugurated at Uyok Chingya under Kakching Turel Wangma. The academy, which is affiliated to the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (CoHSEM), will begin its first academic session this year with classes for XI and XII (Higher Secondary).

Speaking at the inaugural function, MLA of Kakching Assembly Constituency, Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh, emphasized that the true value of education lies in sharing knowledge with society. He stated that education should not remain confined to individuals but must contribute to the greater good of the community.

He expressed confidence that the academy would play a vital role in shaping the future of students and guiding them toward success in their respective fields.

The program was attended by several distinguished guests, including Khumukcham Sundari, principal of Excellent Academy; Mayanglambam Sanaton, former principal and professor of Kha Manipur College, Kakching; Mayanglambam Kunjaraj, head of the Department of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University, Imphal; and Dangmei Manglem (MCS), additional director (Hills), Directorate of Education (S), Government of Manipur, who graced the occasion as special guests.

In his address, MLA Rameshwar highlighted that in today’s rapidly advancing world, knowledge has become one of the most valuable assets. He noted that students must utilize their intellect and learning to succeed in life. He further remarked that Excellent Academy aims not only to provide textbook education but also to impart moral values and life skills.

Teachers, he said, bear the responsibility of nurturing students academically as well as ethically.

Expressing optimism, the MLA stated that the newly established institution has the potential to become one of the leading schools in the region. He urged the faculty to work sincerely in producing capable and responsible students who will contribute positively to society and bring progress and development to the community.
