Refrain from entering Kuki areas, KHRC tells Dy CM Dikho

The Kuki Human Rights Council (KHRC) has condemned Deputy Chief Minister Losi Dikho’s recent visits to Kuki areas, viewing them as attempts to undermine the Kuki community’s aspirations and create divisions among sub-tribes. In a press release, the KHRC characterized his actions as a “blatant attempt to divide and rule” and urged him to refrain from entering Kuki areas until their demand for separate administration is met. They asserted that his role is to represent the Naga community, not to interfere in Kuki matters, calling his actions provocative and intolerable. The council reaffirmed the Kuki people’s right to protect their territorial integrity and urged the Government of India to intervene to prevent escalated tensions. The statement was co-signed by General Secretary Tomgminthang Kuki and Vice President Gavriel K. Simte, emphasizing the KHRC’s commitment to pursuing their objectives until fully realized.
