A newly constructed building of the Youth Sports & Welfare Association (YSWA) Club, located at Chabung Company Awang Leikai under the Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency, was inaugurated.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mayang Imphal AC MLA Kongkham Robindro as Chief Guest.
Speaking at the event, MLA Kongkham Robindro stated that in view of the prevailing situation in the state over the past three years, many people have faced immense hardships. He said the government is taking various initiatives to extend assistance, particularly to students affected by the crisis.
He informed that steps are being taken to provide financial aid directly through bank accounts to support the education of displaced students. He further assured that government assistance would continue to be extended to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
During the program, BJP Mayang Imphal Mandal President Irom Rabi Singh also appealed to the public to pray for and support the inclusion of a Cabinet Minister from the constituency in the upcoming expansion of the State ministry led by Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh.
