Security forces arrested an active cadre of UPPK from Mantripukhri area, Imphal East district, identified as Chungkham Kiran Meitei @ Lepshinba (23) of Khumbong Mayai Leikai, under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district. On the other hand, security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the general area of Molcham village, Molcham-PS, Chandel distrit. The seized weapons include one AK-47 rifle with two magazines, one 9mm CMG with magazine, two grenade detonators, two magazines of different arms, two grenades, 194 rounds ammunition, and five Baofeng VHF Radio sets with five USB chargers. Meanwhile, movement of 178 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 was ensured. Strict security measures were taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy was provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles. A total of 115 Nakas/Check points were installed in different districts, both in the hills and the valley, however none was detained
