Manipur Police arrested three active cadres of KYKL (SOREPA) from different locations of Imphal West district yesterday. A statement of Manipur Police identified the arrested cadres as Keithelakpam Telheiba Mangang @ Thoiba @ Lamyanba (23) of Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi, Imphal West district, arrested from Kangabam Leikai; Konthoujam Gooddy Meitei @ Phirepa (23) of Bishnupur Ward No. 10, Joypur Khunou Bishnupur district, arrested from Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai, and Laishram Ichan Devi @ Sangita (30) of Wabagai Terapishak, Kakching district, presently staying at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai, arrested from Kwakeithel Bazar. Three mobile phones, four SIM cards, a sum of Rs. 6000 and a Yamaha bike were seized from their possession. They were involved in recruiting new cadres and extortion in the valley districts and providing logistic support to their organisation, said the statement.
