Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reinforced its commitment to skills development in India through several educational initiatives. The company’s flagship Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) has doubled its capacity to 1,200 students, now accommodating up to 600 female students with upgraded facilities. The three-year residential program provides free technical education to economically underprivileged youth.
TKM has also launched the Toyota Kaushalya Program, a two-year ‘Learn and Earn’ course, and operates 60 Toyota Technical Education Program centers across India. The company plans to expand its partnership with Government Tool Room & Training Centre from 16 to 36 institutes by 2026.
“We are dedicated to nurturing lifelong learning and fostering an inclusive environment,” said G. Shankara, Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration at TKM. The company has trained over 110,000 youth to date, contributing significantly to India’s industrial growth and skill development goals.
