TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have announced a major milestone, surpassing 2,00,000 units produced through their long-standing partnership. Since joining forces in 2013, the Indo-German collaboration has grown into a strong global player in the sub-500 cc segment. Their co-developed motorcycles—the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS and G 310 RR—are now sold in more than 100 markets worldwide.
KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, said that over the decade-long partnership, shared engineering strength and a commitment to innovation have helped create products that appeal to customers across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The milestone unit rolled out from the Hosur plant, which has now begun production of the new BMW F 450 GS. Both companies confirmed that future R&D will focus on new platforms and advanced technologies aimed at premium and urban mobility segments.
BMW Motorrad CEO Markus Flasch called the F 450 GS rollout the start of an exciting new chapter. The motorcycle, revealed in production form at EICMA 2025, becomes BMW’s new entry-level ADV in India after the G 310 GS exit. It uses a new 420 cc parallel-twin engine producing 48 bhp and 43 Nm, alongside features like a quickshifter and an Easy Ride Clutch on higher variants.
