A felicitation program was held on Friday in honor of Wahengbam Renudhar, who secured All India Rank 652 in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination 2025.

The program was organized by Kachathol Hiyanglam–Wabagai at the organization’s ground to congratulate Renudhar for his success in one of the country’s most competitive examinations.

The event was attended by Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar, proprietor of Lamyanba Enterprises, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included local elder W. Chaobi Singh and Retd. A.I. Kakching E. Surendrajit, who attended as special invitees.

During the program, members of Kachathol Hiyanglam–Wabagai, local Meira Paibi members, and residents warmly felicitated Wahengbam Renudhar by presenting him with traditional garlands, shawls, and other gifts in recognition of his achievement.

Speaking at the occasion, Renudhar shared his experience of preparing for the UPSC examination. He stated that success in the UPSC exam is possible if candidates follow the right strategy and work with consistent dedication. He mentioned that earlier attempts did not bring success, but with strong moral support from his family and by improving his preparation strategy, he was finally able to achieve success. He also said that the warm reception and encouragement from the people of the region after his success had helped him overcome the struggles he faced during his preparation.

In his speech, chief guest Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar said that every parent feels proud when their children achieve something meaningful. He noted that although the region may be considered relatively underdeveloped, students from the area have been achieving remarkable results, including position holders in Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. He added that Renudhar securing the 652nd rank in the Civil Services Examination proves that many talented students live in the locality.

He expressed confidence that if young people continue to work hard with dedication, many more successful individuals will emerge from the region in the future. He also stressed that building a good society requires good governance and responsible citizens. He pointed out that many parents are unable to provide proper education to their children due to financial difficulties, which highlights the need for better governance and improved educational facilities.

He further stated that creating a better society requires quality schools, better healthcare facilities, and the right guidance for the younger generation. He also urged people to elect capable and responsible representatives during elections rather than voting for candidates who offer temporary benefits such as food, money, or other incentives.

The program concluded with the participants extending their best wishes and encouragement to Wahengbam Renudhar for his future endeavors.
