Amway India expands retail foot print, upgrades Imphal store

Amway India has expanded its physical presence across key markets, upgrading its store in Imphal and inaugurating a new Experience Centre in Gurugram as part of its multi-year growth strategy.

The expansion builds on the Rs 100-crore investment announced last year by Amway Global President and CEO Michael Nelson for multiple initiatives, including strengthening the company’s physical presence. Nelson inaugurated the Gurugram centre during his official visit to the city.

Amway India plans to open or revamp several more stores over the next three to four years. The company currently operates more than 85 stores nation wide and has opened or upgraded over 14 outlets in recent months across markets including Pune, Kolkata, Siliguri, Imphal, Bhagalpur, Anand, Ahmedabad, Bongaigaon, Agra and Nanded.

Nelson said India remained central to Amway’s global growth strategy, citing rising consumer demand for trusted, science-backed health and wellbeing solutions and personalised experiences. He said the centres would help distributors strengthen customer relationships and develop local communities.

Rajneesh Chopra, managing director of Amway India, described the centres as engagement hubs designed to improve consumer experience and provide distributors with platforms to build their businesses.

Approaching three decades of operations in India, the company said its expansion also reflected its commitment to responsible entrepreneurship, regulatory compliance, consumer education and long-term value creation.
