According to officials, the operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of narcotics through the area. During the search operation, personnel recovered 150.97 grams of heroin, which is estimated to be worth ₹1.13 crore in the illegal market.

The accused, a woman hailing from Chandel district in Manipur, was allegedly transporting the narcotic substance illegally. A mobile phone was also seized from her possession during the operation.

Following the seizure, the heroin, the mobile phone and the accused were handed over to Mizoram Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
