Chief Minister Y Khemchand chaired a review meeting today evening on the progress and implementation of Sewerage and Concrete Road projects in the Greater Imphal area.
The meeting was attended by MLAs and senior officials of the Water Resources Department and Public Works Department.
Inforning this in a social media post, Chief Minister Khemchand said, “Chaired a Review Meeting with Hon’ble MLAs and senior officials of the Water Resources Department and Public Works Department this evening at the Secretariat, to deliberate on the progress and implementation of Sewerage and Concrete Road projects in the Greater Imphal area”.
“Emphasised that our sewerage infrastructure must be forward-looking and capable of adapting to the rapid urban growth of the capital region. Stressed that concrete pavement works should ensure durability, longevity, and quality execution, minimising the need for frequent repairs and maintenance,” he said.
The Chief Minister said, “The meeting was productive, with clear directions issued to ensure timely completion and adherence to the highest standards, in our collective commitment to building a modern, resilient, and citizen-centric urban infrastructure for Manipur”.
