CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Peace Mission, En Route to Jiribam

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh is en route to Jiribam district. His entourage, along with MLAs and senior government officials, has encountered no untoward incidents along the way. The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive in Jiribam at around 1 pm. The visit is scheduled from April 4 to April 6, during which the Chief Minister is expected to engage with community leaders from both Meitei and Kuki groups in a bid to restore trust and stability in the region. During the tour, the Chief Minister will make brief stops at Leingangpokpi Police Outpost, Jiribam District Hospital and Lamlenkhul, reviewing ground-level conditions and interacting with officials and locals. The Chief Minister is accompanied by seven MLAs, including Tongbram Robindro, Kongkham Robindro, L. Rameshwor Meetei, Dr S. Ranjan, H. Dingo, S. Premchandra and Paonam Brojen. Earlier, on April 2 after meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat to assess security measures along National Highways. Notably, this is the second visit of Chief Minister Khemchand to Jiribam since assuming office. The Chief Minister has visited the district on February 11 during which he met Meitei and Kuki representatives, including displaced persons from both the communities.
