The All-India Congress Committee (AICC), in coordination with the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) launched the AICC National Spokesperson Talent Hunt Programmer in Manipur as part of a nationwide initiative being rolled out across various states. The programmed was formally launched at the Congress Bhavan on B. T. Road. Addressing the gathering, AICC National Coordinator-in-charge Advocate Avani Bansal said the initiative aims to identify capable youth with strong communication skills and political awareness who can effectively articulate public concerns at the national level.
She said the programme seeks to provide a platform for talented young people from Manipur, particularly those with the ability to speak on public issues, to raise the voice of the state on national forums. Advocate Bansal noted that several pressing issues affecting Manipur need to be presented clearly, responsibly and factually at the national level to ensure wider understanding and attention.
She further explained that selected participants would be groomed for key responsibilities, including roles as national spokespersons who would engage with national media channels and other prominent platforms. The programme will also focus on developing skills related to issue-based communication, fact-based public engagement, research to counter fake news and misinformation, and coordination of publicity and outreach activities.
According to the organizers, the talent hunt is open to interested participants who can apply on or before January 25. Applications can be submitted by scanning the designated QR code and filling out the application form through the prescribed channels. Eligibility is restricted to individuals who have attained 18 years of age. The organizers said the initiative reflects the Congress party’s effort to encourage youth participation and strengthen informed political communication at the national level.
