Manipur Police have arrested four individuals in connection with drug-related offenses. Two suspects, Ankit Rai (22) and Aman Kumar (21), were apprehended in the North AOC area of Imphal West district along with 312 grams of brown sugar. Both individuals are from Bihar but were residing in different parts of Imphal district. Additionally, two residents from Kwakta, Bishnupur district, Md. Iqbal (23) and Md. Ajimuddin (25), were arrested in the Imphal East district for possessing 11 soap cases of Heroin No. 4, discovered in Hapta under the Porompat Police Station. In a related initiative, security forces and the Forest Department undertook operations against illegal poppy cultivation in the Songphel area of Bungjang and Saichang Hill ranges, resulting in the destruction of two huts.
