Manipur security forces on Wednesday arrested four active militants, including two-woman cadres, linked to extortion and other criminal activities across the state. Official sources said an active cadre of RPF/PLA, identified as Bungcha Thoudam alias Khamba (30) of Singjamei Makha Khongnang Pheidekpi under Singjamei police station in Imphal West district was arrested from his residence. A mobile phone was seized from him. One of the arrested woman cadres has been identified as Nongthombam Abesana Devi alias Machan (21) of Huikap Makha Leikai in Imphal East district. She is a KCP (MFL) cadre and was arrested from her residence under Andro police station. A mobile phone was seized from her. Security forces arrested another active woman cadre of NRFM, identified as Chingakham (Ningol) Ningthoujam (O) Rebika Devi (43) of Churachandpur district and currently residing at New Lambulane Lane-III, Porompat police station in Imphal East district. A mobile phone was seized from her. Another active cadre belonging to KCP (Taibanganba), Senjam Premjit Singh (38) was arrested from Langthabal Khunou Mamang Leikai in Thoubal district. Security personnel recovered a mobile phone and an Aadhaar card from his possession. Officials said the ongoing operations are part of a larger plan to dismantle extortion networks and curb militant-linked criminal activity in the state.
