Security forces conducted operations in Senapati district, successfully intercepting a four-wheeler at T. Khullen Naka Check Post. They apprehended Abu Mohammad Tahir (28) from Khola Part-1, Karimganj, Assam, seizing 840 grams of suspected heroin, a Bolero vehicle (Regd. No. AS 01FY 9787), its keys, and a mobile phone. Additionally, another interception occurred at Tengnoupal where a DI vehicle (Regd. No. MN-02B – 8290) was stopped, revealing the smuggling of 24 Ibex (wild mountain goats) from Myanmar towards Pallel. The driver, Md Kalim (35), and an occupant, Md Sabir Khan (19), both were arrested for their involvement in this smuggling operation, which violates the Wildlife Protection Act. The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated wildlife and the DI vehicle, were transferred to the Forest department for further action.
