ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched the BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund, adding a new rules-based investment option to its ULIP portfolio as long-term household participation in equity-linked financial products continues to expand.
The fund will provide exposure to 50 companies selected from the broad BSE 500 universe and follow the ICICI Pru BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Customized Index. Its strategy combines attractive valuations with positive price momentum, while quarterly portfolio reviews are designed to respond to changing market valuations and trends. If a stock is unavailable for selection due to regulatory guidelines, subsequent eligible stocks will be included to maintain the 50-stock portfolio.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said, “The BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund has been designed to provide customers with access to a disciplined and transparent investment strategy that brings together two important investment factors, value and momentum.”
He added, “While attractive valuations can provide valuation comfort, positive momentum can indicate growing market confidence.”
The fund will be available through ICICI Pru Smart Kid Assure, Signature Assure, Signature Online and Smart Insurance Plan Plus. The company reported a 99.3% claim settlement ratio in Q1 FY2027, with an average turnaround time of one day for non-investigated individual claims. As of June 30, 2026, its AUM stood at Rs. 3.34 lakh crore, with zero NPAs since inception and total in-force sum assured of Rs. 48.06 lakh crore.
The board has also approved a proposal to rename the company as ICICI Life Insurance Limited, subject to relevant approvals.
