In Manipur, drugs worth Rs 18 crore were found, and militant was detained

Over the course of the last day, Manipur’s security forces have reportedly retrieved several weapons and ammunition from various locations, detained a militant, and seized drugs valued at Rs 18 crore, according to officials. According to a police officer, 196 soap cases carrying suspected heroin/brown sugar weighing 2.193 kg, excluding the case, were taken from a car that was being driven from Churachandpur towards Kangpokpi by a joint Manipur Police and CRPF squad at Tupul Bridge. According to the official, the medicines that were confiscated were worth about Rs 18 crore. The two drug dealers who were in the vehicle were also taken into custody. Their names were Holminlen Khongsal (30) and Ginminlen Haokip (24).

Ganja, often known as marijuana, is believed to be worth Rs 2.18 lakh. They were identified as Thoubal district residents Iliyas Ali Shah and Ajmir Sarif, both of whom were 19 years old. Additionally, Manipur Police detained a member of the banned militant group Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-People’s War Group) from the Lamphel Super Market neighborhood in the Imphal West district. The 38-year-old militant who was captured, Shyamchand Singh, was extorting people in the districts of Thoubal and Bishnupur. One AK-56 rifle, one .303 rifle, one 303 light machine gun, one double-barrel, and two single-barrel guns are among the weapons and ammo found.
