In a coordinated effort, the Indian Army and Manipur Police conducted a successful joint operation on May 21, 2024, resulting in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition in the Mongjang village area of Churachandpur district, Manipur.
Acting on precise intelligence, the operation uncovered a 12.5 assault rifle, a single-shot bolt-action rifle, two 9mm pistols, a mortar, and various ammunition and war-like stores. These recoveries have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and appropriate disposal.
