Manipur CM reaffirms commitment to cinematic culture

After two years, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh invited everyone to the 2nd edition of the Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival (EIIFF) 2025, reaffirming the government’s dedication to fostering a thriving cinematic culture in the state. Over the course of four days, from February 6 to 9, 56 films will be screened throughout the festival. The chief minister of Manipur said on his official X Twitter that the festival brings together regional and international film on a single stage. “This festival is a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and the power of film to transcend borders,” he said.

He added, “I invite everyone to be part of this cinematic journey and contribute to making the festival a resounding success.” He also extended an invitation to everyone to attend the festival. Reiterating that the platform presents Manipur’s cinematic spirit on a global scale, the Manipur chief minister earlier shared the trailer for the 2nd Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival on his X handle. “The festival is back, bringing together filmmakers and fans from all over the world after two difficult years. A celebration of the power of storytelling, art, and resiliency,” said CM Singh.
