Maruti Suzuki July sales inflation 3%

New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki India on Friday reported that total sales in July rose 3 percent year-on-year to 1,80,526 units, led by exports.

The leading automaker had sold a total of 1,75,041 vehicles in the same month last year.

Total domestic passenger vehicles dispatched to dealers grew marginally as compared to 1,37,463 units in the same month last year, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.

Sales of mini segment cars such as Alto and S-Presso declined to 6,822 units from 9,960 units in July 2024.

Sales of compact cars including Baleno, Dzire, Ignis and Swift rose to 65,667 units from 58,682 units a year ago.

Sales of utility vehicles such as Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga and XL6 stood at 52,773 units last month as against 56,302 units in July last year.

Sales of Van Eeco stood at 12,341 units last month as against 11,916 units in July last year. Sales of light commercial vehicle Super Carry stood at 2,891 units in July last year as against 2,794 units last month.

MSI said its exports stood at 31,745 units last month as against 23,985 units in the same month last year.
