Filmmaker Karan Johar has congratulated actors Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji, who have been friends for a long time, on their National Award victory. With the announcement of the 71st National Film Awards, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji received their first-ever National Awards. As he offered each performer a personal shoutout on Instagram, Karan wrote a lengthy statement outlining his opinions.
The director remarked, “I can’t help but beam with pride, referring to the more than three decades that King Khan had to wait. With each role you play, you are redefining Indian cinema. Jawan and all of your other films are proof of your extraordinary acting abilities, lighting up every screen you enter with your swagger, charm, and pure SRK-ness! The entire world, including myself, is cheering you on, congratulating you, and encouraging you in all that you do. Nobody compares to you, so congrats, buddy. You deserve this and more. Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost, as you say.”
Karan praised Rani Mukerji’s performance and referred to her as the “queen of every screen” in his letter. In addition, Karan included a fascinating story in his post about his first National Award, which he received for “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.” However, Rani Mukerji’s performance in “Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway” earned her the Best Actress prize.
