Security forces on Thursday arrested an active cadre of PREPAK, identified as Haobijam Manaoton Singh @Lakpa, @Ton (24) of Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai, Bishnupur district presently staying at Moirang Khunou Hijam Khongnangkhong Leikai under Keibul-PS, Bishnupur district from his residence. Manipur Police also arrested another active cadre of PREPAK, namely Angom Romio Meitei @Tayai, @ Ningthem (38) of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai Imphal West district from Moirang Bazar Thanga Parking under Moirang-PS, Bishnupur district. He was involved in a firing incident at Lairenjam Awang Leikai, Imphal West district in August 2024. He has also been recruiting new cadres for the proscribed group. A mobile phone and two SIM cards were seized from him.
