The Alipore Meteorological Department also sounded a note of relief amid heat wave warnings across South Bengal. According to the weather office, several districts of South Bengal may get wet with rain on Saturday. All the districts of South Bengal are likely to receive rain on Sunday and Monday. Meteorologists said that the temperature in South Bengal may drop by two to four degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Purulia, Jhargram, Bankura, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Du Midnipur, and Du Burdwan in South Bengal may get light rain on Saturday, according to the forecast of the Met Office. There is no chance of rain in Kolkata. The remaining districts of South Bengal will also experience hot and muggy weather. Meteorologists have also said that all the districts of North Bengal may be drenched in continuous rain from Saturday to Wednesday. Light to moderate rain with thundershowers and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph. The people of Kolkata will have to suffer heat and pain all day on Saturday.

Note that the temperature has been rising in South Bengal for the past few days. Explaining the cause of this uncomfortable weather in South Bengal, the weather office said that hot and dry air is entering the state from the west. This is creating dry weather in the state of Hawaii. On the other hand, water-vapor-rich air from the sea does not enter the atmosphere in such a way that favorable conditions for rain do not occur. However, the weather may change slightly if it rains on Sunday and Monday, the Meteorological Department said.
