ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has launched a new open-ended fund of funds (FoF) scheme that will provide investors exposure to equity, debt, gold and silver through a single investment product.
The ICICI Prudential Multi-Asset Active FoF will open for subscription on June 30 and will close on July 14. The scheme aims to offer dynamic asset allocation by actively shifting investments across different asset classes based on market conditions, valuations and broader macroeconomic factors.
Unlike traditional funds that focus on a single asset category, the new scheme will invest in a mix of equity-oriented mutual fund schemes, debt-oriented mutual fund schemes, and gold and silver exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The allocation will be adjusted actively to manage risk and optimise returns.
The primary objective of the fund is to provide investors with diversification benefits by reducing reliance on the performance of any one asset class. It is designed to help investors navigate market volatility through exposure to multiple segments within a single investment structure.
The fund is targeted at retail investors seeking simplified asset allocation without the need to separately manage multiple investment products. By combining equity, fixed income and precious metals, the scheme aims to offer a balanced investment approach aligned with varying market cycles.
