Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday congratulated wushu athlete from the State, Naorem Roshibina Devi, on winning the silver medal in Women’s Sanda 60 kg category at the 20th Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
“Heartiest congratulations to Naorem Roshibina Devi on winning the Silver Medal in Women’s Sanda 60 kg at the 20th Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan,” the Chief Minister posted on social media.
“With this historic feat, she becomes the first Indian Wushu athlete to win medals at three consecutive Asian Games. Her remarkable achievement has once again brought immense pride and honour to Manipur and the nation,” Singh said.
He further complimented Roshibina as a shining inspiration to the youth of Manipur and a proud symbol of Manipur’s sporting spirit.
“Wishing her continued success and greater glory for India and Manipur,” he stated.
