The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly arrested a cadre of the NSCN (IM) from Imphal on Saturday morning in connection with the killing of three church leaders in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district.
The victims, identified as Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulun Lhouvum and Pastor Paogoulen Sitlhou, were killed in an ambush in Kangpokpi district on May 13, 2026. The incident had sparked widespread outrage and condemnation, with several organisations and community leaders demanding justice for the victims and their families.
