Security Forces Raid Suspected KLA Camp in Kangpokpi, Eight Cadres Apprehended

A joint security operation was conducted on September 7, 2026, at Gampum village under Saikul Police Station in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district. The operation involved personnel from Manipur Police, CoBRA, CRPF, Mahila personnel and the Rapid Action Force (RAF).

During the operation, security forces raided an unauthorised camp allegedly belonging to suspected cadres of the Kuki Liberation Army (KLA). Eight cadres were apprehended from the camp, while seven automatic weapons were recovered.

The apprehended individuals and the seized weapons have been taken into custody for further legal proceedings and investigation. Following the operation, the camp was locked and sealed by the security forces.
