Rajesh Toyota, a flagship dealership of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), has secured the esteemed GreenCo Gold Rating from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Green Business Centre, marking a historic first for automotive dealerships in India.At a ceremony in Chennai, Rajesh Toyota was lauded for its exemplary environmental practices, recognized under Toyota’s Environmental Challenge 2050.
The dealership’s initiatives in energy efficiency, waste management, and water conservation stood out, contributing to a 31.27% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2019. Notably, Rajesh Toyota boasts a remarkable 90.5% renewable energy usage and has reduced waste generation per vehicle by 20.3%. Mr. B. Padmanabha, Executive Vice President of TKM, underscored the significance of this achievement in advancing sustainable business practices. “Rajesh Toyota’s accomplishment sets a new standard in our commitment to environmental stewardship,” he remarked.
