Vedanta presents Jaipur Literature Festival’s 20th edition with focus on global reach and cultural impact

Vedanta will present the landmark 20th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) from January 14 to 18, 2027, marking two decades of literary exchange, cultural dialogue and multilingual storytelling. Supported by the Government of Rajasthan, the festival has grown into a major global platform since 2008, hosting more than 8,000 writers, speakers and artists, attracting over five million on-ground visitors and reaching an estimated audience of more than one billion through digital, broadcast and media networks.

The 2027 edition, themed “20 Years of Ideas.Stories. Conversations.”, will bring together voices from literature, culture, academia and the arts, with discussions spanning politics, history, science, economics, philosophy, gender, health, migration and the environment. JLF has expanded to more than 15 international editions across markets including the US, UK, Canada, Spain, Australia, the Middle East, Maldives and Ireland.

In Imphal, Vedanta’s association with the festival’s multilingual and inclusive agenda could create greater visibility for Manipuri literature, regional writers and Northeast India’s diverse cultural narratives, while supporting broader interest in translation and literary events.

The festival will also highlight linguistic diversity through its Bhasha Swarmala series, with its 20th-anniversary announcement released simultaneously in all 22 official Indian languages.
