Amway India’s Ayurveda push targets Rs 100 crore opportunity, deepens local value chain

Amway India has expanded its presence in the Ayurveda and preventive wellness market with the launch of Nutrilite Ayurveda, unveiling nine new innovations and targeting aRs 100 crore category over the next two years.

The expansion reflects the company’s assessment of growing consumer demand for plant-based and preventive healthcare, alongside the Government of India’s focus on strengthening the AYUSH ecosystem. Amway said the initiative could contribute to a broader domestic economic value chain spanning agricultural sourcing, manufacturing, scientific research, innovation and employment.

Nutrilite Ayurveda combines 5,000 years of Ayurvedic knowledge with more than 90 years of Nutrilite botanical science. The products use Ayurvedic botanicals responsibly sourced from organically cultivated NutriCert-certified farms and are manufactured at Amway India’s facility in Tamil Nadu, supporting the company’s Make in India positioning.

The first phase comprises Kalamegha, Shigru (moringa) and Vrikshamla (garcinia), priced at Rs 449, Rs 651 and Rs 449, respectively. They will be available from September 8 through Amway-authorised channels, Amway stores and the company’s website.

Amway India Managing Director Rajneesh Chopra said the expanding Ayurveda ecosystem could create new economic opportunities and strengthen India’s capabilities as a global traditional-wellness hub.

The portfolio features AYUSH-registered formulations and follows quality protocols including DNA fingerprinting, active ingredient testing, seed-to-supplement traceability and testing for contaminants, heavy metals, microbiological safety and key marker compounds. The launch builds on Nutrilite Chyawanprash.
