Arms recovered in Manipur after RPF/PLA cadre arrested in Goa

Manipur Police recovered four firearms and a cache of ammunition in Thoubal district following the arrest of a member of the banned People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Goa.
The recovery was made from Chingdompok after Nongthongbam Ingo alias Krishna (51) was arrested from Cuncolim in South Goa by Manipur Police with the help of Goa police.
The seized items included two INSAS rifles, nine INSAS magazines, two 9-mm pistols and 163 rounds of ammunition of different calibres.

According to police, Ingo is a self-styled Lieutenant Colonel of the PLA and he was wanted in connection with a case registered in Manipur under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967 at Lilong PoliceStation in Thoubal district.
He had reportedly been absconding for nearly two decades. 
Police got his location in Goa after during the interrogation of two militants arrested in an extortion-related case.
