Financial Assistance Provided to 754 Displaced Students in Manipur

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday provided one-time financial assistance to 754 Internally Displaced Students in the presence of senior officials and dignitaries during a programme held at Jubilee Hall in Imphal College. The financial assistance under the CM’s College Students Rehabilitation Scheme (CMCSRS) was disbursed through direct bank transfer. “The Government of Manipur remains firmly committed to supporting displaced students and ensuring that their education continues uninterrupted despite the challenges they face,” the Chief Minister said.

“I am confident that this assistance will provide meaningful relief and encourage the students to pursue their academic aspirations with determination and hope,” he said. Singh also attended an interaction programme on Community Assets Development held at Kangchup Chingkhong in Imphal. “Community assets such as public tanks, community halls and shared infrastructure are essential in strengthening social cohesion, fostering inclusivity and promoting collective progress. Their development reflects the spirit of unity and shared responsibility within society,” he said. “The Government of Manipur remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance community welfare and contribute towards sustainable and inclusive development,” he added.
