Flipkart Ventures, the investment arm of e-commerce major Flipkart, has invested in two Indian artificial intelligence startups, Alive and Keploy, as part of its efforts to support early-stage technology companies and emerging AI applications. The financial details of the transactions were not disclosed. The latest investments bring together two startups operating in different segments but using AI as a core part of their products. Alive is an AI-powered platform focused on curated lifestyle experiences, while Keploy is a native-AI software testing platform designed to help engineering teams improve the reliability of applications and software releases. Under the Flipkart Ventures programme, the startups will receive capital support along with strategic mentorship, operational expertise and access to Flipkart’s wider ecosystem. The programme is intended to help selected companies strengthen their business models, develop products and scale their operations as they grow. Alive uses an AI-powered technology stack to design, build and distribute lifestyle experiences across India. The platform currently offers more than 500 live experiences across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai and Goa. Its focus is on creating and delivering curated experiences for consumers while using technology to support the discovery and distribution of offerings across multiple cities. Keploy, meanwhile, applies AI to software testing and development workflows. The platform converts real application traffic into replayable regression tests and digital twin sandboxes, allowing enterprises to reproduce production scenarios locally and within continuous integration and continuous delivery environments. The technology is designed to help engineering teams identify regressions in new software releases and AI-generated code earlier in the development lifecycle. Nishant Verman, senior vice president of corporate development and partnerships at Flipkart, said India’s startup ecosystem continues to produce founders using technology to address real-world problems and create new consumer experiences. He said Alive and Keploy represent this ambition through differentiated ideas and a clear focus on growth. Flipkart Ventures invests in early-stage Indian technology startups across areas including e-commerce adjacencies, artificial intelligence, consumer internet, fintech and logistics technology. The investment arm has already backed more than 20 startups, providing selected companies with access to Flipkart leadership for strategic guidance across business, product, technology and finance. Portfolio companies can also leverage Flipkart’s broader ecosystem for potential strategic integrations and other opportunities. The latest investments underline the growing interest in AI-focused startups across consumer and enterprise technology. While Alive is applying AI to lifestyle and experience discovery, Keploy is addressing a technical challenge within modern software engineering, particularly as companies increasingly rely on AI-generated code and complex digital systems. Flipkart Ventures has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade to invest in, support and empower technology startups across India. Through its investment programme and ecosystem access, the company is seeking to provide founders with both financial backing and practical support as they develop and scale. The investments in Alive and Keploy therefore add two different AI applications to Flipkart Ventures’ growing portfolio, reflecting the breadth of opportunities emerging within India’s technology startup landscape at scale.
