In an effort to promote greater communication and understanding amongst the citizens of various states and Union Territories, Manipur and Uttar Pradesh have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” program. In areas including language learning, culture, traditions, music, tourism, food, sports, and the sharing of best practices, the agreement, which was signed on Thursday, aims to foster cross-cultural collaboration and exchange.
The three-year MoU has the potential to be extended for an additional three years, and it will go into force immediately. The deal was formally signed at a function in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar. The ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative aims to foster closer ties between India’s many regions in order to fortify the country’s cultural fabric.
