Manipur Police has granted ₹1 crore yesterday, to the family of Late Constable Soibam Sanjit Singh, under the Police Salary Package Scheme, in accordance with the MoU signed between Manipur Police and the State Bank of India.
Soibam Sanjit Singh lost his life in July, 2025, while on duty at Sagoltongba village in Imphal west district. In its message shared on X, Manipur Police expressed that Constable Sanjit served the government and the public with dedication, sincerity and unwavering commitment. The police further stated that Sanjit’s untimely demise is a significant loss to both the Police Department and the general public.
A cheque-handover ceremony was formally held yesterday at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP),Imphal West. L.Kailun, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (L&O), along with other senior officials, attended the event.
Kh. Okendra Singh, Regional Manager, SBI Imphal, presented the Cheque to the family of Late Constable.
Manipur Police appreciated the timely efforts of the SBI, Imphal that enables the police department to extend financial assistance to the bereaved family.
