A peaceful protest was staged yesterday by the Sinakeithei Shanao Long(Sinakeithei Women’s Body), expressing their utmost opposition against the indiscriminate aggression of Kuki narco-terrorists, recently.
In its press statement, the Women’s body of the Tangkhul Naga community at Sinakeithei in Ukhrul district, stated that the protest aimed to express their current grievances triggered by the aggression and frequent attacks of Kuki-Zo terrorists.
The Kuki-narco terrorists have established a presence in the western part of Sinakeithei. This creates both psychological trauma and physical threats to the residents of the village, the Protestors said. The women body demanded that the government of India has to implement Suspension of Operations (SoO) ground rules, which the Kuki terrorists have exploited to terrorize and instill fear among innocent civilians. The women protestors further demanded a comprehensive overhaul, along with a competent authority to oversee and monitor the situation to ensure immediate and appropriate consequences for any infringements.
The Kuki-narco terrorists from the Mt.Sinai Camp and T.Gammom Camp occupy the Lungter Hill Range. This position gives them a strategic vantage point over the entire village of Sinakeithei and other nearby Tangkhul villages, the Protestors reported.
