ICICI Prudential Life Insurance today announced the launch of ICICI Pru iProtect Smart Her, a comprehensive term insurance plan designed specifically for women.The product combines life insurance with health management, wellness and financial flexibility features. It offers a 15% lifetime premium discount for women and a pregnancy break benefit to help manage premium commitments during pregnancy.
The plan provides women-specific health management and wellness services worth up to ₹25,000, including teleconsultations across multiple specialties, annual health check-ups, health risk assessments, wellness content, and pharmacy and diagnostic discounts. The company said the overall benefits are worth up to ₹92,100.The product also includes Child Education Care through an increasing income payout option for 10 years. Under this feature, the death benefit is paid to the nominee as income, increasing by 10% annually for 10 years.
Vikas Gupta, Chief Product Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said women’s financial planning needs evolve across different stages of life. The company said digital capabilities will provide a seamless purchase journey, self-service options and a hassle-free claims process. Its claims settlement ratio stood at 99.3% in Q1 FY2027, with an average one-day turnaround for non-investigative individual death claims.
