Thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the sacred chariot procession in Imphal.
The main sacred procession began from the historic Shri Shri Govindajee Temple in Imphal, where the idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are ceremonially placed on the beautifully decorated wooden chariot, locally known as the Kang.
Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla along with the First lady led the people in the chariot procession.
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) of Manipur also celebrated the Kang Chingba Festival in a pompous way at the campus of Shri Radha Krishnachandra Mandir at Sagaiprou.
In between, offering of fruits and flowers and performing aratis are being done on Rath Yatra.
The festival transforms the streets of Imphal into a vibrant celebration of faith and unity.
Security personnel and volunteers ensured the smooth movement of the procession, while devotees lined the route to seek blessings and receive sacred offerings.
