Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Gyanendra Pratap Singh, on Friday evening called on Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Lok Bhavan and reviewed the prevailing security situation in the state.
During the meeting, the CRPF chief, accompanied by senior officers of the force, briefed the Governor on the current law and order scenario in Manipur and the measures being undertaken by security agencies to maintain peace and stability.
The delegation apprised Governor Bhalla of the ongoing security operations, deployment strategies and coordinated efforts being carried out across the state to address security challenges and ensure public safety.
The meeting also focused on strengthening security arrangements and enhancing coordination among various agencies engaged in maintaining law and order in the violence-affected state.
Officials said the review forms part of the continued efforts by the Centre and security forces to closely monitor the situation in Manipur and ensure effective implementation of security measures.
