The 22nd edition of the Mizoram Police Sports Meet 2024 took place on Monday, December 9 at the 1st Battalion MAP Playground, Armed Veng, Aizawl, with Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma attending the opening ceremony. With the theme “Unity through Sports,” the Mizoram Police Sports & Cultural Control Board (MPS&CCB) is organizing the sports meet. Twelve participating contingents have been formed by combining different Mizoram Police districts, battalions, and units according to their geographic regions.
During this sports meet, up to 1197 athletes from these 12 contingents will compete in 18 different sports. In 1987, the first Mizoram Police Sports Meet took place. In the kind presence of Hon. Home Minister K. Sapdanga, the Sports Meet will be adjourned at the same location on Friday, December 13.
