Kakching District Administration has appealed to the students, parents, and guardians concerned, to participate actively, in Aadhaar enrolment and updation camps to be organised across selected schools in the district, to ensure that all eligible students own updated Aadhaar credentials.
Additional District Magistrate, Kakching, Phurailatpam Bhavananda Sharma (MCS), informed that biometric updation camps had earlier been organised on several occasions across the district, but students’ response was quite unsatisfactory. The Additional District Magistrate further noted that Aadhaar has become an essential document for students for various purposes including scholarship applications, school and college admissions, and other official requirements.
He also stated that in view of its increasing importance, the District Administration has decided to organise special Aadhaar Service Camps in schools for enrolment and updation of students’ Aadhaar details.
