The United Democratic Party (UDP), a Meghalaya based Political party, yesterday expressed deep anguish over the killing of three pastors in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on May 13.
The political party describes the act “Barbaric,”and demanded immediate action from both the State and the Union governments to bring the perpetrators to justice. UPD General Secretary,Titosstar Well Chyne said, in a statement, that the Party was expressing its “deepest anguish and unequivocal condemnation of the brutal ambush, leading to the killing of three church leaders and critical injury sustained on four other civilians.”
“This barbaric act is an attack not only on the lives of innocent men of God, but also on the very fabric of humanity, religious freedom, and the constitutional values of India,” the Political Party added.
