Various Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Tamenglong area, supported by Village chiefs’ in the region, have served a five day Ultimatum to one Soraisam Govin, transport contractor of SY Enterprises, over the alleged failure to deliver NFSA foodgrain allocation, meant for distribution to several beneficiaries of the region. The foodgrain allocation is for the month of May,2026.
The foodgrains are reportedly meant for distribution to the beneficiaries of Tamei, Nungba and Tamenglong constituencies. The ultimatum was jointly served by the Inpui Naga Union, Liangmai Naga Council Manipur, Joint Tribes Women Association Manipur, Chairman and Secretary Association Tamenglong etc.
These organisations alleged that despite serving multiple notices earlier, the contractor has failed to transport the allocated foodgrains for the AAY and PHH card holders. They also demanded complete and verifiable delivery of the May 2026 NFSA allocation to all designated distribution points on or before May 16.
