Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh inaugurated the exclusive Special Court of National Investigation Agency (NIA) at the Thoubal Court Complex in Khangabok on Monday.
MP (Outer Manipur) Alfred K. S. Arthur, Manipur Home Minister K. Govindas Singh, MLAs, the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, the Chief Secretary, and senior legal and civil officials were present during the inauguration.
“The establishment of this dedicated court marks an important milestone in strengthening the justice delivery system by ensuring the expeditious trial of scheduled offences and cases investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). It will enhance judicial efficiency and reinforce the rule of law,” the Chief Minister said.
“The Government of Manipur remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring fair, transparent and timely justice for all,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also Inaugurated a seminar on “Media for Communal Harmony and Responsible Journalism”, organised by the Editors’ Guild, Manipur and DIPR, Government of Manipur, at Sangai Hall, Hotel Imphal on Monday.
