Manipur govt allocated 5 crore for displaced people across Manipur

The Manipur government has allocated more than Rs 5 crore to provide cash support of Rs 1,000 each to internally displaced people across the state. According to an official statement, the sum would also cover the expense of providing IDPs with basic necessities. CM N Biren Singh stated that the sanctioned fund will include Rs 1,000 in cash help for each IDP. Singh had stated that the funds would be distributed prior to Diwali and the ‘Ningol Chakouba’ celebration.

The CM also launched the ‘Run for Unity Marathon’ on the eve of National Unity Day. The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organised the unity run, which covered a distance of around 4 kilometers. Singh stated in a post that this marathon is a poignant reminder of our dedication to unity and harmony. Let each stride today strengthen our shared link as a nation and a people.
